Marathon FTvirtual Server™ software is a breakthrough product that protects any Windows application, providing continuous computing; mirrored data storage; uninterrupted network access; and service through hardware faults and network failures.

How does it work?
The Marathon software keeps two servers running in synchronized “lockstep”, performing identical operations on both at the same time. The Marathon software also creates a virtual Windows environment that operates as a guest OS across the two servers. This virtual environment is identical to a standard Windows server environment and appears on the network as a Windows host server. All in-process disk transactions are maintained through the failure and application data is protected by disk data mirrored on redundant drives associated with each server. 

Patented Fault Management
Marathon software automatically discovers failing or faulted hardware and reconfigures hardware resources to maintain system operations without operator intervention or interference with user, application, or the operating system.  

Online Repair
Marathon allows you to shutdown one server to repair, replace, or upgrade hardware components and install software upgrades while application operations continue. The repaired server is simply booted and returned to service. The Marathon software automatically reconfigures and resynchronizes operations and data between and returns the Marathon configuration to full redundancy.

 SplitSite for Disaster Tolerance

Patented SplitSite option adds complete protection from site-wide disasters. 



Marathon software synchronizes two unmodified Windows servers and creates a virtual application environment that runs on both of them simultaneously. With the SplitSite option, these redundant servers can be separated by 100 miles over a switched network for complete disaster protection. If one server fails, the Windows application continues to operate uninterrupted using the other server.
